At Neurofocus, we offer comprehensive assessments for both specific and general learning difficulties. Whether you or your child are struggling with reading, writing, comprehension, or overall academic performance, our evidence-based assessment process helps uncover the root cause and guide the way forward.

Before your appointment, we’ll send you a set of forms to gather key developmental and medical information—such as birth history, motor skills, social development, and family background. This provides crucial context for understanding your learning profile.
You’ll also receive questionnaires to assess related areas like emotional wellbeing, attention, and social functioning—helping us identify or rule out overlapping difficulties.
If any previous assessments or school reports are available, they are very helpful. Please email them to samira.hayes@proton.me in advance of your appointment.
You will attend two clinical sessions (each lasting up to 90 minutes) for direct testing. These are tailored to the type of difficulty being explored—for example, reading and spelling for dyslexia, or broader skills for general learning concerns.
Following the assessment, we’ll arrange an online or phone feedback session to explain the results, answer any questions, and guide you on next steps.
You will receive a clear, easy-to-understand diagnostic report, which includes: A summary of findings Recommendations for supports at school or in daily life Tailored resources and next steps
